Great value for annual plan

I'm always looking for the best deal, so I went with the annual plan for Pictory. The savings were significant compared to monthly, and it felt like a solid investment. I created a few 'Long-form Video to Shorts' clips from my webinars, and the quality was really decent for the price I paid. Worth it.

Super easy video creation!

I used the Article to Video feature to turn a blog post into a quick social media clip, and it was so simple! The AI Voiceovers were good too. I will definitely use Pictory again, and I'm telling my colleagues about it.

Reliable tool for video summaries

I've been using Pictory for a while, mainly for the Auto Video Summaries of my Zoom recordings. This time was just as smooth as previous orders. The consistency is what keeps me coming back. It always delivers what I need without any fuss. No surprises, which is good when you're on a deadline.

Fast and mostly good

I signed up for Pictory to try out their Blog Post to Video feature. It was incredibly fast getting a first draft, which was impressive. The AI Image Generation for Video is a nice touch, but some of the images were a bit generic and I ended up replacing a few with my own. Delivery was instant since it's a software, and the login details worked right away. The aspect ratio converter was handy, but I wish there were more options for custom branding in the Starter plan. Still, it saves a lot of time.

Good for quick content, some quirks

My main use for Pictory was the Script to Video for some marketing content. The process from script upload to video generation was pretty fast. The stock footage library was helpful, though sometimes it picked visuals that needed a bit of tweaking to match my script perfectly. The AI video editor was intuitive enough to make those small adjustments. I also tried the Auto Captions, and they were mostly accurate, needing just minor edits. Customer support responded quickly to a question about bulk video creation. Overall, it's a solid tool for what it does.

Renewal price was higher than I expected for my Pictory subscription. Anyone else notice this?

A AnkitM 2 weeks ago
Yeah, mine jumped up too. I was on the Starter plan and it felt like a significant hike this year. Had to really think if I wanted to continue.

S Sneha22 2 weeks ago
Same. I think my initial subscription was on some promo pricing that ended.

Did you contact support about it? Sometimes they offer a renewal discount if you ask.

Following this, my renewal is coming up next month and I'm a bit worried now.

Hmm, I'm on the Professional plan and my renewal seemed to stay consistent. Maybe it depends on the plan you're on, or if you had a special offer initially?

Yeah, those initial deals usually expire.

Finally made the switch to Pictory for my YouTube channel. Using the script to video feature. Any tips for getting the best results?

G GamerRaj 2 hours ago ✓ Best Answer
Welcome! I've been using it for a while. Make sure your script is broken into short, punchy sentences. It helps the AI pick better visuals and keeps the pacing good. Also, experiment with different AI voices to find one that fits your channel's vibe.

Yes, and the stock footage library is huge, but sometimes the AI picks generic stuff. Don't be afraid to manually swap out clips.

Good point on the short sentences, I noticed it sometimes struggles with long paragraphs.

Don't forget to set up your branded video template early! It saves so much time with intros, outros, and logos.

Y Yash_Vids 2 hours ago
Already did that, thankfully. Makes everything look consistent.

I find that adding specific visual cues in brackets in my script helps a lot. Like, [show city skyline] or [person working on laptop]. It guides the AI to exactly what I want, instead of just guessing.

Y Yash_Vids 1 hour ago
Oh, that's clever! I'll try that on my next video.
3
N NikhilS 1 hour ago
Does it really pick up on those cues reliably?

how do i even put in a discount code? can't find a box anywhere.

I Ivy 1 month ago
It's on the billing page, right before you finalize the payment. It's usually a small link or a box labeled 'promo code'.

J June Carter 1 month ago
At checkout, on the payment screen. Keep an eye out for it when you're about to pay.

I saw something about a lifetime deal for Pictory. Is that still a thing or did I miss out?

M Mia A. 2 months ago
They do pop up sometimes through affiliate links, not directly on their site usually. Keep an eye out on YouTube reviews or deal sites.

J Jared 2 months ago
It's not always there, but I snagged one about 6 months ago from a promo code a YouTuber shared. They definitely exist, just gotta hunt for them.

Thinking about getting Pictory for my side hustle. Just wondering, can I actually make money with the videos it creates? Like, use 'em for client stuff or put ads on YouTube?

J June Z. 1 month ago
Yeah, totally. I use it for my small business, no issues with commercial rights or anything. The videos are yours.
6
E Elena 1 month ago
Yep, it's fine for commercial use. I've been making videos for my marketing agency clients with it for months.

Planning to get a subscription but might need to cancel if my project doesn't pan out. Is cancelling a huge hassle or pretty straightforward?

T Troy 1 month ago
Nah, it's pretty easy. Did it once when I paused a project. Just go to your account settings.
5
D David N. 1 month ago
Super simple to cancel. I think it's monthly so you just turn off auto-renew. No long-term commitments or anything like that.

hey, trying to decide between pictory and invideo. anyone got thoughts on which one's easier or better for turning blog posts into quick social media clips?

P Paula Kim 1 month ago
I've tried both, and honestly, Pictory felt a lot more intuitive for blog-to-video. InVideo had more bells and whistles but Pictory just gets the job done faster for that specific task.
3
W Wendy Marsh 1 month ago
Pictory is way better for that. InVideo is okay but Pictory's AI summaries are really good for getting those short clips.

What's the deal with the free trial? Can I actually make a few videos to see how it works, or is it super limited?

J Jared Torres 1 month ago
You can make a few, like 3 videos max. It's enough to get a feel for it but not enough for full projects.
6
O Omar Marsh 1 month ago
Yeah, you can make a couple, but they'll have a watermark. Good for testing though.
